Organization: Bridge Builders
Background: Mark and Mary Jane have been married over 30 years and served in various local churches for the majority of those years. In 2006, they were led in another direction to do the work of "Bridge-Building" with Muslims and Christians. They work with international students at the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University as they try to "build bridges of friendship, trust and understanding between Muslims and Christians." This building of relationships and inter-faith dialogue takes place on the campuses, in the city and around the world. They frequently visit churches around the U.S. encouraging Christians to engage in sincere conversation and genuine friendship with Muslim people. They also enjoy overseas trips where they can speak in churches and build on relationships with Muslim friends. We have been blessed by our relationship with them since the early start of our church.
